A bit mismatched on the exterior but who cares, it's a truck. Yes, it's a 4x4. Always liked these little guys but have never been in one

Short Bed Crew Cab gross

I think that’s a very common opinion, but I would just think of it as a lifted subaru baja and I like that.

I was looking at these, and that's the configuration I like, if it wasn't for the proportions being so wrong on the S-10's I probably would have pulled the trigger.

No need for anything bigger.

It's less the configuration and more the proportions of the configuration when applied to an S-10.

Those quad cab s10’s are so strangely proportioned.
![]() 09/11/2015 at 12:37 |

I think the s10 only came short bed with the quad cab.

They definitely came single and extended cab

sorry, I mean that if you wanted quad cab you had to have short bed only.

If he doesn’t need anything bigger, why did he get a crew cab?
![]() 09/11/2015 at 12:43 |

Not with the short bed.

They are quite odd. But he doesn’t tow anything and only uses the back for bikes and ski gear. so it is kind of the perfect size

I agree, my buddy has a quad cab short bed taco that is used a lot for the same thing. Its a great crest shuttle.

As far as towing capacity, bed size, and lift. Interior space was needed

The proportions on the Taco are a little more pleasing.

yeah, the taco looks right with 4 doors. These s10’s just looked like a blazer truck conversion that someone did at home.

Did the crest trail last weekend. AMAZING!

First time? its a little more beat up than it used to be (probably pretty dusty right now too) but its a helluva trail. did you drop down in the canyons or milcreek?

Yeah first time. We did ambush to hollys down to canyons. Thought about millcreek but we didn't feel like tacking on the extra bit of driving that day. It was a bit rough in some spots but that just makes it more fun/sketchy

Ambush is fun but my favorite part of that ride is the decent into millcreek, you should definitely try it. I might be doing it this weekend now that I think about it actually.
Something for your viewing pleasure. This is the ride my buddy with the taco broke his back and neck.

I'm headed out to city of rocks this weekend or else I would be. Great video! The left line down the spine is definitely the way to go. I tried to go down the middle and it almost worked

Hey, my truck resembles that remark! Except mine is awesome.

That’s not a short bed

5 1/2 feet (1.67 M) isn’t a long bed! Shorter than the short beds available in 1964. Well, to be truthful, when it left the factory, it was a long bed, but after customization, it was delivered to the first customer as a really short bed, for its time.
