Cloth seats? Doesn’t the LS come with Leather standard?
Was the Celsior aimed more down market?
Either way NP, it’ll last forever.

I would have to check with an importer and see if the time saved buying from Japanese Classics would make it worthwile. Their prices tend to be a fair bit higher than if you were to have an importer bring it in for you.
I do also find it funny that it’s $200 more than this one which has more options -

Also, we were about to buy this Sera from them when it was still on the boat -

But $7k is somewhat CP, since the interior is rough and it’s an auto. (Manuals are very hard to come by, since this was a pretty expensive car)

This is not Matt Farah’s million mile Lexus.
This is however, Matt Farah’s million mile Celsior.

Always liked the JDM versions of 90s Lexuses (Lexi?). Soarer, Harrier, Celsior, Aristo, Altezza. All weirdly intriguing to me.

Cloth seats are actually seen as equally luxurious in Japan I think. Notice how they call them “executive cloth seats”. I think they’re wool.

Actually more luxurious IIRC, since they don’t really understand the Western custom of slathering dead animal skins across seats...

I love browsing that website. They had a CRX not too long ago that I was in love with. I like the Toyota a lot. The price might be a bit high, though.

Yeah, I think their version of ‘cloth seats’ is nicer than ours. Meaning they’re actually made of some form of wool or other real cloth.

Total NP, even though similar vintage LS400s are laughably cheap.

I just don’t understand this one. Unlike other JDM classics, this one was available in the US. Not only that, it was developed for the US as the flagship of their new US-targeted Lexus brand, so by all accounts the LS400 is the more genuine article. I suppose it can be called quirky and obscure, but really, how quirky or obscure is it? It’s a LHD re-badged Lexus with cloth massaging seats.
