Hello Oppo!

Today, in my very poor neighborhood, I saw a very expensive looking car parked a block away that I couldn’t identify. And couldn’t photograph, as the owner was sitting in it giving dirty looks to the peon driving slowly past and ogling it.

Now, I would swear on a witness stand that it had an “ev” badge below the A pillar and the emblem on the car was mostly blue and white and nothing I had ever seen before. The car was reminiscent of a Lotus Elise or Tesla roadster, but with the wrong emblem. The only car I know of that meets this criteria is the Detroit Electric SP:01. Which is impossible. Can you think of anything else it could be?

i know some people have tried to do electic conversions to Elise’s, but I think most didnt turn out great. Saw an EV Eclat once though at a British car show in WA

true; I think you probably know better but I had several people ask about my Tesla when in the Elise...even a few times when I was literally pumping gas

I'd say there was about a 0% chance it was any BMW, based on the styling.

Not enough to put money on it. There's a lot of wishful thinking involved though. And I can't tell from the internet if anyone actually owns one yet, much less has owned it long enough to be rid of temp tags.

Wow the rear end on that thing is wild! I hadn’t heard of those (or it didn’t register when I did). That’s not it, but I’m pretty convinced now that someone has rebadged or otherwise messed with a lotus or a tesla. Or has somehow gotten their hands on a Detroit Electric and chosen to drive it straight over for me to see.

It’s all good. I wanted to park and go look closer but when I circled the block the driver was glaring. Not my fault he parked his fancy-schmancy car in my grit little hood. Can’t figure out if he was really that lost or he’s like the boss of the local drug dealers...but they usually prefer Escalades around here.
