996 values probably won’t go much lower, and you can get replacement IMS bearings from Pelican Parts (and others) that won’t fail like the OEM ones. I figure do that and you’re good to go. If I didn’t have ecomalus taxes in Wallonie.... *sigh*

Seriously. Get this, make sure IMS bearing is good, do the facelift front, and then rock it.

I reckon 996 values will keep slowly crawling down, reach about $10,000, then in about 10 years time, people who kids when these were new, and remember seeing and wanting them, as well as nostalgia for pixar’s cars (Sally was a 996, right?) will bring prices up again. They’ll obviously never reach 993 prices, but they won’t be the ‘unloved’ 911 forever

I don’t think they will go any lower. 911 market is pretty hyperbolic and reactive... I think they will start bouncing once news really spreads.
