I do social media for !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in Denver, Colorado, love when the valve covers come off. Sometimes it’s ugly, but often it’s art. I hope you enjoy. Shawn and Luke tackle the valve adjustment, just another job for them.
Fanboys can make easy work of guessing the engine.

After pulling my head and taking it to the bench to mark the valve caps, I tripped and dropped the head of my Previa onto the ground, scattering the valve shim caps all over the ground. After I had a good cry but no tears - I *was* crying, however, I’m sure.
Asked Toyota about it, and they said they didn’t have the shim pack and would take it apart and order from the mainland - say a week and a half disassembled. OK. Weekend Warrior mode.
Made all the cam in place measurements, pulled the shims, and got a bunch from 2 other Previas we have around here (one without a tranny and one with a frame that has rusted out.)
I *think* I got them all within a .001” of optimum. But who knows. Still runs the same as before the “valve job” ... thinking I screwed an advance dealie since it runs great over 3000rpm but sucks just above idle. Ah well - Adventure Weekend (again.)
