Kinja issue - I haven’t been surfing Oppo enough to see if this has been reported or not, but when I click on a notification I get taken to the article, but not the comment that was recommended or replied to. I’m using Chrome on iOS and Mac OS X 10.something and it’s happening on both. I’ve noticed it for the last week? Few weeks? not sure exactly when it started but it’s somewhat recent. Chrome is up to date on both devices.
I can never remember where I’m supposed to report these things so I’m just dropping it on Oppo again, sorry !

I’ve noticed this too.
Clicking a permalink will often send me to the article, and my browser (Chrome) will come to a stop after scrolling part-way through the article, almost reaching the replies section. Also, if I have made multiple replies to an article, it will auto-scroll to the wrong one, and I manually scroll down to the target comment.
Not sure if Kinja or Chrome...

That’s what used to happen. But now it’s not even showing me my comments anymore, it just goes to the article with the default comments, and I’m lucky if I can find my comments eventually after clicking ‘load more’ 40 times. Basically impossible on mobile, and can still take a very long time on a full browser for busy articles.

Seems to work properly on Oppo - but not on FP articles, maybe has to do with the number of comments...

FWIW it’s happening on Oppo too. A reply to this only brought me to the top of this post.

Yeah, this is happening to users all over Kinja.
It’s getting worse, too. Now my notifications page won’t even display most of the time.
If it weren’t for the ongoing starring problem, I wouldn’t be concerned - used to be, when bugs happened in the course of
yet another unwanted “update,”
the bugs, at least, got fixed pretty promptly. But that one’s been going on for weeks with no news, no replies to requests to the helpdesk (I also wrote them about this), and no resolution, so... now I think the same thing could happen with the notifications problem as well.

I don’t have any problem starring things, or posting from mobile, or any of the other things I’ve seen people talk about. The link to the notification is the only thing I have a problem with.

The salient point is, that’s a known problem that’s been ongoing for quite a while, and it hasn’t been fixed.
Ergo, this notifications link thing... I’m not sure that’s going to get fixed anytime soon either.

Right, maybe, maybe not... but I do try to report things when I have the time. If nobody reports the bugs they’ll never get fixed!

Oddly enough, today it’s working again (mostly). It shows my comments and auto-scrolls me to the right one. Well, almost the right one but at least it’s findable!
