Really? First time I watch a race in ages and this is what we get. So much nonsense in this sport.

How is that nonsense?

I know, ridiculous.

There is nonsense in every sport.

Ha we got away with it.

Because it's nit picking to the extreme. Especially if he was to get a penalty for it.

Very true, but I find F1 particularly irritating these days.

No it’s not

I like how Hamilton isn’t concerned about a penalty - because Rosberg didn’t finish the race (and would have the same penalty if he had, since his tire was apparently down 1.1 psi)

Must be the new digital gauges they’re using. We all know that 1.3psi difference can be deadly (or nearly)., so they're just being cautious.

Yeah it wont hurt his championship hopes as badly with Rosberg out of the picture.

Feel free to disagree, and I’m sure you will, but when regulation gets to the point where 0.3 psi matters there’s an issue. I know other sports have the same bullshit (NFL for example) but it still irritates me.

Because rules have to be strict in every aspect. Imagine car that is 0,5% lighter, has 0,5% more horsepower and 0,5% more downforce then allowed.

When it’s a technical directive (it wasn’t just a Pirelli recommendation but a bona-fide FIA rule), it does. When you’re under weight by 1lb, it’s a clear violation, and that’s what happens when you push the limits.
Nevertheless, Mercedes was found not guilty because of some clarification on measurement method (process rather) and I agree with the ruling.

I’m happy with the ruling and probably overreacted a bit. It’s my knee jerk reaction to rip on F1 after the last couple of seasons. I used to really love the sport and for various reasons just barely watch it anymore. The psi thing just stuck out to me since it doesn’t seem to offer a noticable competitive advantage.

Haha I was waiting for that joke.

True but tire pressure likely has less effect than those things when it's such a small margin.

Yes, you did overreact.
I have no sympathy for knee jerk reactions. They’re a real problem in society
