I’m looking into spacers for my A6 and don’t even know where to start to get them to fit my car. Anybody have any knowledge about them?

I have a friend who has a lifted Jeep ZJ. We were about to go on a cruise and on a right turn, his car suddenly collapsed. The front spacer on his Jeep fell down. I don't have a favorable opinion...

How big are you looking for? Also, does the A6 have lug nuts or lug bolts?

Also, look up black forest industries in cary,nc. They specialize in audi/vw.

Lug bolts, I’m looking at these wheels: http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels_3/Wheel…
The only problem I’m having is that they might not clear my front brakes. For reference, it’s a 2000 Audi A6 2.7t.

You know what might look nice? The wheels that sm70-whynottacosandwich has on his older model.

That’s a good idea, haha. I already told him that I didn’t want to steal them for my C5 but I still might.

Wheel spacers move the mounting point of a wheel in, pushing the wheel out. They reduce offset, how far from the center of the wheel they mount. With 25.4mm/inch, an 8” wheel with 0 offset will be the same as one with +25 offset (mounting surface pushed out, wheel pushed in) and a 1” spacer (wheel pushed back out).
Moving from 8” +0 to a 9” wheel, 0 offset adds a half inch inside and out, which might leave the wheels hanging out too far. 8” +0 to 9” +13 means adding an inch in width (1/2” inside & out), then shifting 1/2” inward so the outer face is in the same location while the inside needs 1” more room. A half inch spacer would recenter the wheel (0 offset, extra 1/2” inside & out vs. the 8”).
Usually you increase width and add offset to “tuck” the extra width inside, but then you run into clearance problems with the suspension (or want bigger brakes) and increase the diameter. Once you’re changing all 3 variables, you need to either test fit yourself, or ask a forum specific to your car where people have already tried your combo.
