You know I used to be for open carry but when i saw a guy lugging around a ar 15 in the grocery store I was like wtf. He came off as a threat. Extremism in any form is always bad.

I believe that calling the cops on people who are not breaking the law is more douchebag than parking your BMW 335i with the fake M3 badging across 2 parking spots, though probably less douchebag than vandalizing someone’s car because you think they parked too close to your precious BMW. This said, there is still no real reason to carry around a firearm in public, and I highly doubt Rick Ector has ever done any statistical analysis of wether carrying a gun reduces crime (but if I were about to rob a convenience store, and I saw a trigger happy mother fucker with a gun I would gtfo).

Is it ‘swatting’ though if you see a gun? As I understand ‘swatting’ is a thing gamers (or similar) do to pi55 each other off but if a gun is seen, actually visibly seen who’s to know that there is no intent to do harm to others. Surely that’s how easy it is for some loony to lul you into a false sense of ‘ye’, it’s a gun but he’s openly carrying so must be okay and legal’ just before he/she goes nuts. Just saying.

States differ between 1 or 2 actions from firing, so either it has to be on safe (1 action) or needs to have a round chambered and be set to fire (2 actions)

I’m sorry but if I see someone enter a public place with an AR15 I’m getting the hell out. Those guns only have two purposes, target practice and killing people and it sure as hell dosen’t look like they’re there for target practice! I love shooting guns as much as the next person but if someone shows up with am assult rifle I’m catagorizing them as threat and you better bet your ass I’ll call the cops, legal or not!
