In nine months of ownership I’ve never taken this car on the highway (living on an island will do that to you), but right now I’m in line for the ferry to take a four hour road trip. I hear this car is amazing on the highway, can’t wait tto stretch its legs.

Neat! What island do you live on?
Car ferrys are pretty cool. Pretty uneventful though.

Martha’s Vineyard, the ferry ride is about 45 minutes. It is always eventful because there is ALWAYS a black Mercedes with NJ or DC plates with an alarm going off. ALWAYS.

How many miles have you put on it since you got it?

I think that’s every ferry. Cause when I was in the outer banks there were a couple mercedes with their alarms going off haha

I honestly though you were in LI for a sec. Orient Point has a ferry to CT, and there are many cars from MA and CT.

I have taken a ferry form LI to Shelter island once, that was pretty much uneventful.
Maybe Mercs are afraid of water...

An uneventful ferry ride is a good ferry ride

Driving an E39 on the highway is serene. 85 mph feels like 50 mph. The car floats, there’s not much outside noise (door seals make/break this point).
I live in south Dakota, and there’s fewer better feelings to me then turning onto I-90 eastbound, seeing the 80mph sign, turning the radio way up, holding my wife’s hand and pushing the pedal down and hearing the unmufflered straight six roar

I’m not sure a pontiac mini van is much better on a highway as it is local roads......
