So I regularly check on Japanese Classics’s webiste just to see what they have in stock. Not that I can afford any of it at the moment , but it’s just cool to see what is out there. Are there any other companies like Japanese Classics to check up on?

I check them pretty often that Fulvia they had was one of the best looking cars I’ve ever seen. Also that Cosmo they have is pretty cool.

this shows the power of marketing and a graphic design. If I was really in the market I’d try to stay with Japanese Classics, just because this website looks like it hasn;t been updated since 2005.

Curse you for mentioning this—because I took one look at the FC3S Rx-7 modified by RE Amemiya (sold, unfortunately) and thought, Damn, I missed out on what was likely a fantastic car .

Is this the outfit Doug D used for his GT-R?

yes. yes it is. They seem to be the most legit, and user friendly way to get your JDM dream car. And although the sell cars brought over to have in stock, i do beehive they also take requests from serious customers.

yeah, its got the bus tranny (bombproof) and the 1hz (also indestructable) but with the power issues fixed. Assuming the boost isn’t cranked that sucker is set for life, and I dig the 76 body style over the troopie.

Pacific Coast Auto has a cool video series about all the cars he imports - the guy’s name is Derek. Nice dude - originally from Canada, imports cars to various countries worldwide, although mostly Canada and the US and he lives in Japan.
He’s part of a forum I regularly check called Import Era. Great place - they are mostly JDM folks, but they are very welcoming to all walks of automotive life! :) Derek also often imports European cars as well (from Japan) and many of the people on Import Era have Euro rides.

It really is a timeless design. I’d beat most people couldn’t tell if it was 40 years old or 5.
![]() 09/04/2015 at 23:45 |
|
Well that’s because aside from subtle variations in the front...it could be 40 years old and still band new

I used to own half a Lancia Beta Scorpion. It wasn’t pretty.

GTRs are WAY overpriced on Japanese Classics, like WAY overpriced... Keep in mind the GTRs they sell you are normally around 10000$ in Japan and they don’t even pay them this price, most likely around 6 or 7000$ as the have access to car auctions (dealer only). So if you want to buy a GTR, fly to Japan, chose your car, ship it back, spend 3 weeks of holiday in the country, come back do the paper work and you will still have saved 3 or 4000$ over them lol
If you don’t have time to do all that, send a friend to Japan and pay him some holidays lol... MUCH cheaper than Japanese classics :)
And Japan Partners may have a crappy website, but they are 4 to 7000$ cheaper on GTRs...

Lol. Actually the work about updating its design is on. We have plans to launch new website design in 2 weeks. The new site will be beautiful! And you are very correct about that it’s design hasn’t been updated since 2005 :)

We are exporting Nissan Skylines to USA. If you have any questions I can answer. Our company is located in Japan, Nagoya. We have one of the largest (if not the largest) stock of different Skylines including GT-R

Actually, most of Canada has a 15 year importation rule. My last trip to Canada I saw a few R34 GTRs & even an S15. Loads of MKIV Supras & Skylines out there, it’s cool.

I’ve heard of this guy in the past.. from what I’ve heard he’s actually really great.
