Today I was talking about my A6 to somebody with a 2012 or so Honda Pilot. Here’s how the conversation goes:

Honda Driver: “So, what do you drive?”

Me: “A 2000 Audi A6” *Shows person a picture*

Honda Driver: “Wow that’s a really nice car, I couldn’t afford an Audi.”

Me: ...

Have you officially announced what your 2.7T is powering or no? Since you said A6 right there, but I don’t see much else...

Yes I have!

I’m a bit disappointing that it isn’t powering an Allroad, but it was simply a matter of finding a clean manual transmission one.

You’ll be better off in the long run. The 2.7T is pretty good, most of the allroad’s issues are allroad specific. Good luck with the A6!

I’m not especially scared of the Allroad, it just was not easy trying to find one with manual transmission and 100k or under.

My A6 has just over 100k and was a one owner car. If I could find an Allroad in similar condition for a low price, I’d have gone for that.

One owner with just under 100k is how I bought my allroad. By 160k things were really starting to get bad on it. Still, it worked fine right up until the bitter end.

Ah, I’m planning on keeping the car to about then. Hopefully, I’ll have nothing to worry about, but I’m fine with getting my hands dirty if need be.

You’re right. Didn’t exist when I sold it either haha. It’s stilla great car to buy and you won't lose much if any on one.

I’m heavily in the throes of considering picking one up. Wasn’t looking into a car payment, but like you said it’s hard not to come out even from the looks of it.
