I’d take this-gen body on a last-gen chassis. The only thing that this gen has going for it is that it’s quite pretty.

I still think there will be a GT-RS or some sort of special edition, with a Shelby GT340R flat-plane crank 5.2 Coyote engine.

Just as I still think there will be a special edition Raptor with a ‘big block’ version of the modular V8, somewhere around 7 liters.

SVO competition prep, 93 SVT Cobra R, 95 Cobra R, 2000 Cobra R, S195 Shelby GT500KR, etc... all special-limited-editions within a special edition.

And that it’s a modern race car homologation special designed to kick ass at lemans like it’s namesake did, using modern technology like small displacement turbocharging and the highest power to weight ratio of any car on the road utilizing the 600+ hp V6 they developed for their endurance racing prototype program? As opposed to it’s predecessor which was an amazing but simple and outdated roadgoing omage to the cutting edge in the 60’s designed to win lemans homologation special GT-40?

Nah I know, not particularly directed at you... I too would be quite happy to see that flat plane crank beast from the 350 in a mid engined ford. I just feel like a lot people totally miss the point of this particular car, gets a little frustrating sometime.

That’s interesting because I would do exactly the opposite. I would take the ’05-6 cars body and transplant it on this modern chassis. I would also stick a supercharged version of the Voodoo V8 in it and retain the previous generation’s Ricardo six speed but that’s another story.

Its pretty much the best thing ever. Haha. He daily drives it unless its a bunch of rain or he needs the truck that day.

I have driven it a bunch and its pretty awesome. I don’t understand any bad things I have heard of it yet. Except gas mileage, he ran out of gas once, but he is bad at paying attention to that...
