I some some things this morning. Sadly no pictures so have this i8 from Turner Motorsport (not unrelated to this post). So I stopped for gas this morning on my way into work this morning and parked at the dunkin donuts was a pristine red 928s with the only obvious modification being what appeared to be some newer wheels that appeared to be a more modern looking set of these:

The spokes seemed to be a bit skinnier and they had proper center caps. I’m almost positive a skinnier version of these were never offered OEM on any 928s but correct me if I’m wrong. It gets weirder though, the guy that came out and got in it was wearing a Turner polo and I’m going to assume he works there as their facility is about 20 minutes from my house.

Don’t they only do BMW things and wouldn’t this be a little weird showing up to work in? Would it be weirder for a 928s to actually make it to work?

I also so a pretty beat up E36 318ti on the highway. I know I’m in the minority here, but I always liked the look of the compact 3 series coupe/liftback whatever you want to call it. It was white and very dirty and showing some signs of rust. It also looked like it had wheel covers over steelies... like these:

Haha I actually kinda like it. The only thing that bothers me on all the i8s is the kidneys when there is (to the best of my knowledge) no actual vent there.

I believe those are off a 997 “twist” wheels

I also like the Ti. It’s the front of an e36 and the rear of an e30. I want to make a rallycross car out of one way too bad.

I’ve seen that abomination in-person at Turner Motorsport. That’s Will Turner’s personal car; yet another example of the fact that money cannot buy good taste.

Isn’t just the worst when rich people have no taste? Like for fuck’s sakes, you have more money then I will ever have in my life, the least you could do is actually use it for something spectacular. Instead of...whatever the fuck that is supposed to be.
