I had one of these.
This paticular configuration of Colt only existed for one year, and you just never see anything about them online. Thanks to the folks over at Motorweek for posting their archive to YouTube, I just found this gem of a segment that I didn’t know exsited.
John Davis (@0:34) called my colt a
“little beast”
and I just LOL’d at my desk....
..... since those are the plates I got 28 years ago.
We talk about these from time to time when one pops up on Craigslist, or if we have some sort of theme day that fits it.

They were a little beast. Awesome plates. What color was yours? It’s looks brown in that photo and that would be awesome.

They only came in white, black, red, and silver.
Mine was red. The perfect color for a teenage leadfoot.
