I had my 505 for three years now. Back when it was new-to-me, and still a barely drivable shitbox, i bought a worn momo wheel for it - but needed a hub. Your task, Jim, if you take it on: get a fitting steering wheel hub for a post-facelift Peugeot 505.

Curiously, I found two options pretty quickly. It turned out there’s a guy I know who can have one made for me, and I also found one brand new for sale at this garage “tuner” shop. Didn’t fall for either. However, as I’m on a roll these days, mr. 505 comming along in leaps and bounds, (just bought brand new summer tires for the new-to-me 15” set! and new brake pads!! and new master cylinder!!!) I thought I need this in my life. So I went for the cheap-ass option, and bought the one from the garage shop - predictably, no one bought it in the past two years..... However, it is for the pre-facelift 505.

So now I have a momo steering wheel, in my non-assisted steering, 97 HP Peugeot 505. It makes most of my instruments and check lights invisible. It does not reset the indicator. It’s badly worn. And I’m in love, with this rat racer project of mine.

And you all may just get off my lawn.

Nice wheel. Is that the stock shift knob? It takes “ergonomic” to a whole new level.

Thanks. Yes, that’s the stock shift-knob, leaning back because the whole shifter is a bit leaning back. Believe me it’s much better to use, than it would seem so from a photo. Note thought, that the car is 5speed, while the knob is 4 - most likely the original wore out, and got swapped.
