At least according to our bearded friend at MotorTrend, the BMW M3 has been dethroned. Annoyingly, Audi won’t give us in the states an RS4 to show the Benz and the Cadillac how it’s really done.

I’m OK with that. I’d take just about any other M3 fighter over a VW RS4, just so boring (looking).

Speaking of M3 fighters, I do wonder what will power the XER. I’d hope for the full fat 550HP V8 but considering how everyone else has 3-4 litre turbos, a 5 litre supercharged V8 might be a bit out of date.

I would still get the BMW. The Cadillac is just too unrefined and the Merc...well, I just don’t love the Merc. Not sure why. Probably the lack of a third pedal.
And the BMW is the only one available in an actual color.

Believe the ATS-V is available in a blue and a red.

I’ll take the C63S now, and trade it for the Guilia later.

Right you are. I just took a look on Caddy’s website, and they’re surprisingly good looking reds/blues.
I’m just still disappointed in how inferior of a car it is in terms of refinement. The engine is a high-calorie bowl of meh, the interior is a huge letdown, and I find the whole car too low class for the segment.
I’m OK with that same “blue collar-ness” in the Vette since it’s so much cheaper than everything else, but I expect some class from a $60K Caddy.

I mean, the AMG is clearly the better car but isn’t almost a whole price point higher? Comparing a $73,000 car to a $89,000 seems silly, especially when the CTS-V starts at $85,000.

Imagine an ATS-V with a Merc V-12 instead of the six. Uhbgghhhh
