Really well. For the most part my teachers and classes are great. My first semester is pretty light course wise (my school does block scheduling.) Second semester will be tough.
How has it been going for you?

Posts? 6” x 6”
They’d really give that entryway much more presence.

Not too bad. We don’t do block scheduling but luckily I get out early (around 12:15 instead of 2:15).
English 4 Hon- I love writing. I hate reading poetry and stories and over-analyzing so this class sucks.
Chem Hon- I don’t have a math class so I kind of needed this. Teacher gives so many damn notes and its pretty boring. Also gets quite hard.
AP Macroeconomics- Awesome awesome teacher. Rather fun class and one of the few useful ones
Physics Hon-Batshit insane awesome teacher. Not an easy class but he rolls bowling balls into walls and throws things around. He also hides in cabinets, lights things on fire, and we are playing with rockets and making hoverboards next week!
AP Gov- Awesome teacher and lawyer with a 2013 Cayman S! Actually teaches because he wants to, not the money. Really knows his stuff and again is a useful class.

I like block scheduling honestly... While sometimes the blocks can feel long, there is so much time to do stuff! Seniors can get late arrival or early dismissal...
First semester:
Block 1 Spanish 1 - I got screwed over with taking french between schools so I had to switch to Spanish. Great teacher, great classmates.
Block 2 - Honors Modern World History - Only class that I’ve had homework in so far. I really like this class though. It’s a good challenge, and not being a normal academic class the attitude towards it is a little better.
Block 3 - Business Administration - Literally my least favorite class. This block feels like FOREVER. Although we are starting to do projects and stuff so it’s getting a little better. The class is pretty much all seniors and they have an awful attitude towards it. :-/ Being one of the only sophomores in the class I feel a bit out of place.
Block 4 - Theater - I didn’t pick this class. It was the only class that fit into my 4th block. I am not an actor. Although, this is a nice break from the other classes, and in general it’s fun.
I’m not looking forward to AP classes next year. :-|
Semester 2 is totally different...

Wait what? You only have 4 classes this semester? How does your schedule work? This is mine.
We have two block days, one ‘A-Day’ and one ‘B-Day’ and they alternate every day.
On A-Days I have:
1st Period AP United States History: Small class of around 20 people, usually pretty interesting since I’m sitting in a group of friends and we do activities often; most note taking is homework and what we do in class is fast-paced and interactive, and the teacher is a logical guy who understands our schedules and is flexible about due dates.
2nd Period AP Calculus AB: Just like any other math class I’ve taken. This teacher has been known to be harsh on tests, but I like how she keeps it group-oriented in class, with many handouts to be done together. (I hear she actually has really high credentials in some sort of technical engineering but somehow chose to teach high school math instead...)
3rd Period AP Chemistry: This class is a total clusterfuck. The teacher is pretty unorganized and is always in a hurry for us to move to the next subject, and she assigns so many random sheets and activities that she doesn’t even remember half of them by next class. The quizzes are hard, as expected in an AP science class, though she is better at explaining topics than last year’s AP Physics teacher... However, the teacher does seem interested in having us learn and has reportedly set off the fire alarm ‘testing a fireproof blanket’ in front of the class, so I’m interested to see how this one turns out.
Then B-Days:
4th Period AP English Language and Composition: Analytical reading and writing. I appreciate this class because it seems very applicable in the real world, but overall it’s just a class. I don’t hate it, but it doesn’t have as much character as, say, Chemistry.
5th Period Orchestra: Our ragtag orchestra is honestly not that good but our dedicated director is all about making it better, no matter what it takes. He can be demanding and presumptuous, but seeing as I’m the concertmaster sometimes I can reason with him to make things more reasonable...(Oh, and he drives a Black Camry Hybrid...just another reason I don’t like him that much...)
6th Period AP Chinese: Actually, if Chemistry was a clusterfuck of assignments and activities, then this class is...worse... There are only 9 people in the class, and about 6 of us actually know Mandarin to some degree...this is the second year of the course, and the teacher is always trying to get us to do something we don’t understand (like the time she said, “Now you take your partner and get their paper to writing on whiteboard and onto paper sharing with class so is your homework easier next class we have a quiz and also listen to recording so we can go over in textbook. Ok, now start, I give you 8 minutes!”) Then she gets cranky that no one understands her. Anyways, I’m a bit of a teacher’s pet to her so I can usually bargain my way into and out of situations as needed. (Her car is a 4-cyl Highlander, a very boring car for a very odd lady...)
As you can see, my teachers are a bit of a ragtag bunch that are all really weird, and this year half my time will just be trying to figure out their personalities...

I wish we could do late arrival. I hate being up at 6 am!
I kind of wish we did block scheduling, because it at least breaks up the year.
I had no idea you were only a sophomore. That was really that last year that stressed me out. After that, it got relatively easy.
AP is both good and bad. Its good because its all standardized, the credits count anywhere, and you have a pretty good idea of what to expect. But, if you dont fully follow, have an awful teacher, or just hate the subject, you will have a bad time!
I always liked my business classes because I plan on being an entrepreneur and its what I will be majoring in come college.
Hey well good luck and Im always here if you want to just talk!

My schedule works this way:
We have 4 marking periods, 2 semesters. AP courses are typically 27 weeks, Academic courses are 18 weeks and electives are 9 weeks. 4 block in a day, each 1 hour and 30 minuets.
MP 1:
Block 1: Spanish 1. The teacher is pretty young and got married about 2 years ago. She’s pretty chill. Overall a fun class.
In between block 1 and 2: Titan Forum 15 min, kind of like homeroom but better
Block 2: Honors Modern World History: So far this is the toughest course. The teacher is great though. He doesn’t hand out more than 3 assignments per week because he has a daughter in a different high school in the district and he sees how much homework she gets and how little time she has.
Block 3: Business administration 30 min of class then 30 min of lunch then 1 hour of class. Mostly seniors in this class and most of them have an awful attitude.
Block 4: Theater I didn’t pick this class, it was the only thing that fit into my 4th block. So far though it’s pretty fun. It’s a nice break from the other classes.
MP 2:
Block 1: Still Spanish
Block 2: Still modern world history
Block 3: Exploring architectural design
Block 4: Study hall
Having study hall is essential because the majority of the swim season takes place during this marking period
-Second Semester-
Block 1: Algebra 2/Trig
Titan forum is still the same
Block 2: Honors Chemistry
Block 3: Honors English
Block 4: PE/Gym
MP4
the only thing that changes is Block 4 and that switches to debate. I think the debate teacher drives a 328i wagon. :)

Awesome! My old debate teacher had a bicycle...
