Remember how proud you were when you first popped a wheelie, or did a one-handed track stand?
The video is about 5 minutes long. It may strike you as boring - it is, I suppose. It’s just one woman, at a competition, in a non-descript sports hall, doing her thing. But stick with it to get the full measure of the skill involved.
Imagine doing just one of the simpler tricks. Now, imagine doing a fluid 5 minutes... Maybe throw in reverse, vertical, one-handed wheelie to break it up a bit?

2 seconds in I was like, “The fuck am I watching.”
5 Seconds I was like, “It doesn’t hurt her chances of me watching this, because she is an attractive non-American female.” (i struggle with defeating my own chauvinism, daily)
6 seconds I was like, “holy fuck, bicycle gymnastics is a thing. this is legit crazy.”
Near the end i though of an old meme, “still a better love story than twilight.”

If one is good, two must be better

That’s incredible. If she and Danny MacAskill got together and had a kid, they may as well just stop having bike contests and forward all the medals to them.

Oh, that takes me back.

And here I am struggling to do a wheelie. To make myself feel a little better, that bike doesn’t have a ratcheting hub, which should help balance. Still...
that girl is in-freaking-credible

It is indeed, I toyed with the idea, but I thought this one would play better to the Jalop demographic.

Makes sense. We used to to watch the pairs one in meetings at one of my old jobs while we waited for people to arrive, always makes me smile at how amazing and ridiculous it is.
