So after working until after 11:00 on a project and having my car not start this morning, I come in to find my boss (with whom I need to discuss the project) is out until after lunch. OPPO OPPO OPPO OPPO OPPO
Mostly I needed an excuse to use this gif, but you knew that.

I always hated Doctor Polaski. Doctor Crusher was so much better (and better looking).

I dunno. I think Dr. Polaski was a pretty good character and at least as much of a recognizable medical archetype as Dr. Crusher, but she didn’t really fit the milieu of the show for her seasons. Part of it was probably novice writing, but part of it seemed to be that the show had a better fit for Dr. Quinn In Space than a cheery pediatrician sort of person.

You know, maybe that’s part of it. From a medical standpoint, she seemed to be tasked with more difficult things then Crusher ever was. The character certainly had the knowledge, but as you mentioned she just didn’t mesh with the rest of the crew.
Most of the Star Treks had doctors who at least knew how to have a little fun. Polaski never struck me as that type.

Secretly, I’m more of a SW fan. Given that I have a Klingon dictionary, that might not be as relieving to hear as it at first sounds.
