My Seagate 1TB SSHD decided to dismount itself a few minutes ago. I had to reboot the computer twice to get it to come back. Time to start hard drive shopping, I guess.

Learned the hard way too. Hard drives don’t always fail gracefully — if there’s something you don’t want to lose, make sure it’s backed up somewhere.

I bought my Black2 around Q3/Q4 2014 - and it survived hell until now.

I’ve really read nothing but awful things about those hybrid drives, regardless of manufacturer. I’m amazed yours lasted as long as it did.
