I got the 9 bolt pattern.

Well this is my ride at work, a JLG boom lift. These wheels are actually better than the old blue lift with balloony tires. These are easier to see and line up in super crowded show floor situations like we had this week. You can also nudge a crate over with them. We were slammed for vmware. They were missing a skin for that truss hung sign and we had to go back and do it late.

JLG makes a decent lift. If you had a blue one, was it a Genie? I used to work on them...Genies were famous for blowing their o-rings and dropping fluid everywhere. JLG is pretty good though, no complaints there.

Yeah Genie, we get some random one sometimes but the JLG turns in tight places MUCH better. I do like the Genie controls better though, more intuitive and on one stick, oh and the JLG won’t let you keep your foot on the pedal all the time, it makes you reset, damn safety crap. The JLG splits the functions up and we often drive tired. But I choose the maneuverability of it over the Genie.

I have a JLG 60’ stick boom lift that I use at work. We get 120’ articulated as rentals when they have to come out and work on the scoreboard. To the 120’ I say “no thanks”

In Moscone Center here the ceiling in one hall is about 50ft and the other is almost that high, we don’t need to get higher, but the boom out length is important because we often maneuver over a million dollar display. Early in the shows the floor is covered in crates and people.

A friend used to have a ’97 F250 standard duty. It was a one-year only model and came with 7-bolt wheels.

I don’t usually work on anything that’s much higher than 30’ but I definitely use the stick length to get across the gravel traps. I’ll park at the edge of the race track/run off and then boom over the gravel to get to a camera mounted just above the catch fence.

I could drive the lift onto the service road, but that’s a lot more of a PITA than I usually feel like dealing with.

I would love to play with a 120’. I rarely get to use anything larger than a 30’.

For a second I thought they were bobcat foam filled tires.

It doesn’t look like much fun to me :) We had some guys working on some speakers on the grandstand once. They had the lift parked on the track and boomed out and over the service road and then under the canopy. It required full extension. Then, they drove the base around. NO THANK YOU.
