NOPE NOPE NOPE

Look at the 5-4 lug conversion he did. “spared no expesne” this build is not.

1) Probably the most power a car like that could ever need is 200-250. Straight six, of course. Maybe a BMW 2.5 or 2.8.

2) Those wheels look fab on it.

So it would be a prime candidate for an Ecoboost swap? That’s what I’m hearing. Also, those rims do look oddly nice.

I think that’s a given considering it’s not complete. It seems like the previous owner started it, said “What the Fuck was I thinking?!” and sold it.

No, gotta be NA.

But I want Ecoboost swaps to become a thing so bad. Plus it’s my dream to toss one into a small car at some point when it becomes financially feasible.

First thought, I love the look of it. The pipes, the fender flares...it’s like the sketchiest Cobra ever built.

He has listed the body type as “bad ass.”

Would I pay $1000 for it? I might, because look at the thing! But it’s the sketchiest sketch that ever sketched. Scares the crap out of me, first in a good way, then later in a ‘I will definitely die in that car’ way.

For $1000 the body may be worth it.

Hmmmm, believe it of not i actually think there’s mileage in this formula. It’d take a lot of work to make it a driveable car though.

The front suspension and steering are top notch on these (used by the lotus elan it was that good). Rear suspension would be totally inadequate. At the very least you’d have to change the swing axles for a rotoflex setup, probably with cv axles. If you want to go further i’m developing some lower wishbones from the gt6r prototype and another chap’s work that sorts out the camber change and bump steer inherant to the rotoflex setup.

Diff-wise you can fit a datsun/subaru r160 relatively easily which should take the torque of a 350.

The biggest challenge would be getting the weight distribution in order. Stock it’s 54% front. With my 183kg triumph inline 6 in the front and damn near as much as possible lightened off the front end (and a marginally heavier rear) i’m at 52.5% front.

A 350 chevy is bloody heavy. Really bloody heavy. If memory serves me right, about 250kg. I seriously doubt you’ll be able to take enough off the front end to offset that. You could probably get most of the way though...
