Loud, cantankerous and makes all occupants smell like gasoline well after exiting the vehicle. Speedo doesn’t work so you have to do some math based on what rpm it is and what gear you’re in. And the Bonneville Salt Flat rear ratio of 2.70 only makes use of 3 of the swapped Tremec’s 5 gears. But it’s all worth it when you roll up to a flat black Beetle and out rat their rat rod.

Sounds like fun

Looks amazing, also my inner mustang purist is going mad over the hood scoop and wing.......

Nice ride. I have the 2.70 as well, but with enough low end torque it gets moving just fine. What engine are you running?

You are making me change my opinion of the 71-73 Grande. That’s pretty awesome.

It’s a “notchback” I’d say anything goes on these.

I mean you can still mach 1 Ram air it!

True. I think it was an option in 72-73 across the board. I’m not sure about 71 though.

Well it’s still simple to get the hood and the ram air add on

I had 2.73 gears in both my Delta 88 and the first TohruTruck.

Is it a 9”? I’ve got a set of 3:50S on the shelf.

This is what I want. A cheaper 71-73 mustang that runs and drives but may not be a looker to most but fills me with smiles everytime I drive it

Hood scoop is from a 68-69, spoiler is an original 71 Mach 1 spoiler. It takes some grinding underneath of the trunk lid to get a good place to stick the studs through for the spoiler. Notchbacks never came with a spoiler.

It's a 302 with a mild cam. Life would be easier with the torque of a 429, or even a 351.

Thanks, but it’s an 8 inch. I would put a 9 inch in the Stang but I’m saving my 9 inch rear for another project.

Be sure to get the right hood springs too. Mach 1 hoods are heavier. If I was to go with a Mach 1 hood, I would go fiberglass. Expensive but the poor car has enough nose weight on it.

I love the color.
