I’ll be able to keep it on the e34 in 13 years as per nc law. Has to be dealer or Comercial since they stopped stamping plates with years in the 80s.
NC allows display of vintage year of manufacture plates on cars older than 35 years old.

I have an Indiana 1995 plate I could register to my E34 in 5 years (25 years old in Indiana), but the 95 plates are UGLY.

But you have to register the plate to the car. NC just let’s you display it with no conection to the car. So red light cameras and toll roads have no way of collecting.
