Flat-8 from the looks of it.

It looks like a boxer 8 made with motorcycle parts and a custom crankcase. There are several aircraft boxer 8s out there, but this doesn’t look like any of the ones I know.

The prototype for the Aston Martin V12?
Actually, two VW flat fours combined to make a flat eight.

I like aircraft based boxer 8+ engines, because they have separated jugs (giggety) and making them modular out to crazy cylinder counts just requires being a wizard with crank and cam building. This is a neat one, though, and probably way cheaper.

This looks an awful lot like a Multipla (needs extra lights):
Put it in the back for dual engines?

I wonder if that would fit in a VW Beetle. Have the engine stick out like a baja bug :D

Yeah, but if you put a couple of headlights under the windshield and you’ve got a retro Multipla. It’s all about that gap between the windshield and hood.
