I recently became a Knight - ironically, during my trip to Pennsic . Becoming a Knight is a Big Damn Deal (TM) in the SCA, and they do not take pretenders lightly. So of course I had to announce on Facebook that I’d become a Knight.......... in Waze. I also promised not to wear the symbolic white belt reserved for true SCA Knights.

I can only imagine the hoopla that may occur if I ever reach Royalty rank. Especially because I know the royalty that will soon take the throne in the East Kingdom where I live...
