On Sunday, the Lehigh Valley Miata Owners Club (LVMOC) had an event called “reverse Pocono” or “onocop”. Every year in June they do “Pocono” which is a scenic, spirited run through the Pocono Mountains. Then in August they do the same thing in the other direction. It was great fun and there were nearly 20 Miatas of all vintages in a line bombing it through the curves of local County roads. We stopped at a Pretzel factory and a farmers market for some lunch. Solid 200 miles during the run and then my 120 miles or so round trip just to get there. So I went through a whole tank of gas in one day lol. I didn’t get a while lot of pictures but I have a few!
My car next to the one ND that showed up. Second one I have seen now in the wild!
The guy in the NC has Toyo Proxes on the car! Like street legal slicks pretty much. So he was definitely whipping it through corners lol.
I really liked the yellow NB. It was very easy to follow during the run haha. Not pictured to the right was a red Mazdaspeed Miata. While I don’t think that turbo was well done, it looks really cool! I didn’t get pictures of all the cars since people dropped off before the stops, but it was a massive amount of Miatas.

There are certainly some good roads in that area. Was that Callie’s pretzel factory you stopped at?

Indeed it was! No idea how we got there or where it was (I have to check a map because I am curious). I was slightly confused after all the random turns we made but all the roads were awesome. There was one section where we were stuck behind about 40 bikes riding down the road though. That must have looked like a silly parade coming through. 40 bicycles and 20 Miatas.
