It's almost finished!

My grandpa and I (mostly him) have been slowly but steadily finishing a room I nicknamed the ‘crypt’. When we moved into the house last year, this room had no drywall or insulation. Now it’s being made into a storage room.

To me, it’s a bit fascinating to see how everything is done, I’ve never seen it done before.

The red siding is the original house siding. I’m guessing when they added the [former] garage they added newer siding to the outside of the house.

This is the room from the outside. You can see how low it is, and it’s awkward roof angle.

It's been a pretty nifty experience so far. :).

You say awkward roof angle, I say no need for a ladder to get on the roof!

No more stuck frisbees! (or clogged gutters....)

You can get on from the from too, where the wrap-around, 2nd story deck happens to be at the same height as the main floor roof. You just jump on the railing, then the roof, :).

The stray cats love it too...all...9 of them? You can hear them walking across it in the morning.

I like them, except when they have litters nearby...like the one under the deck!

I’m massively allergic, I would’ve had to blockade off that deck.
