Oh why not. Sink a grand into it, and it’ll probably give you a few thousand miles. If not, they’ll give you 500 bucks to scrap it.

That is really close to being a cool toy for less than $2000. If the mechanical stuff is true fixing those shouldn’t be too hard. The hood, light, and front fender are also easy fixes. The hardest part is the back fender that would definitely require some body work skills.
