You guys rock. THIS is how you sell a car! Your ads hit the right chords, and they bring emotions in to it so well. your use of music is also quite on point in most cases. thank you guys and gals, for coming up with the coolest, loudest, brashest, and sometimes silliest ads out there.

Seriously. in under 4 years, I went from never, ever wanting to own a dodge; to wanting one more than any other car out there. and it’s thanks to the dodge advertising department. good job.

To be fair, what they are advertising has gotten a lot better.

And people wonder why the Chevy SS isn’t selling.

It’s amazing how much times have changed in car advertising. 10 years ago all of these would have been yanked immediately.

so true...

Mazda and Dodge are great examples of how quality advertising sells the brand, more than an individual vehicle.

As someone who works in marketing in the auto industry, aftermarket side not OE though, it is really nice to see marketing that is clearly inspired by passion. It’s shocking how few people in the auto industry are actually enthusiasts, and I think this is fairly often reflected in much of the marketing we see. There tends to be a huge disconnect between where the passion truly lies and how things are marketed.

Really honestly some of the best ads out there, they’re actually ENJOYABLE to watch. The gratuitous car porn is probably also a big factor in that.

Dear PetarVN,
Thank you for not linking to these ads:
(Not all their recent work is good work)

Yeah it’s not even like Chevy hasn’t had good ads in the past either
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I just saw a 2015 charger the other day, I like the subtle changes they made. It looks a lot more sporty and less boxy while still maintaining its aggressiveness. I’m seriously going to have to give these a look soon.

It is certainly reflected in the products they tend to release.

Dodge’s ad dept is on point. They know what they are and they don’t try to be anything else. You buy a Dodge because you think it’s badass...you don’t buy a Chevy because you think it sorta kinda could be a BMW.

I know those feels. I know its too big to handle well, too popular for my tastes among other things. But damn I want a Scatpack.

I don’t think they care, it’s a low volume, low margin car. It’s a shame because I probably won’t be in a position to buy a new car for another 2 or 3 years, but when I’m ready it would be top of the heap for me.

I don’t think I can express how thankful I am for you showing me these ads.

The SS sells more than what GM was hoping to sell. It's only supposed to be a low-production car so they don't advertise it.

Wow... just... yes

Building the ‘cats has probably contributed to your want as well
![]() 08/19/2015 at 19:35 |

Hang on. Low volume, maybe. Low margin, sure. Low production? Definitely not. This car sold 30,000 units last year in Australia.

I'm referring to the U.S. only. GM was only hoping to sell around 1500 a year and they've already surpassed that number.
![]() 08/19/2015 at 19:48 |

Fair enough, but then production is the wrong word. They aren’t produced in America, by Americans or even really for Americans.
Sorry, I’ve seen this sort of thing many times. To me it sounds like the stereotypical American thing of not being able to think beyond your own shores.
![]() 08/19/2015 at 21:19 |

Though that may be true, they are owned by an American company.
I live in Canada though, we don't get the SS/Commodore.

Agreed. I really like these two as well...
Not a fan of the 200, but this ad is great:
This one through me over the edge and down the road to Mopar ownership a few years ago:

oh yeah

true, true, but the ones I’ve watched make me want. now, where the hell is my scat pack commercial!!!
![]() 08/19/2015 at 22:17 |

a scat pack has been on my next car shortlist since it came out. I would buy one over a Porsche, an M3, or any other super-car that's used

Its just hard to beat the thing at $39k.

I love those commercial but, I always thought it was funny that in the third one they just kind of ignore everything from the mid-seventies until now.
IMO, you left out the best 2.

Only two things they need to do
Stop putting 707 hp tags on R/T ads
And use more hasselhoff
