It’s now fully road legal and runs great. New pal for the Twingo.

80 for a running, driving car. Tell me your secrets.

Actually it didn’t run nor drive at first...
Needed:
Brake bleed: free
Battery: £40
Coolant temp sensor: £7
Crank position sensor: £32
Full service (guess it would’ve ran without this though) : £45
Rear wiper : £40
So totalled £244 to pass it’s MOT, still not bad.

There, fixed!
Still good value though.

That’s still not bad. I didn’t remember all of that though.

That has less of a ring to it though...
But yeah it was a great deal all told, has 4 good tyres and the engine is strong so if we can hold the rust back it’ll survive at least a few years. May need a clutch though.

I’m torn.
In the end, you still end up with a micra. But, £80. But, micra. But, £80. But, micra.

Just needs some outrageously colored wheels and you’re good to go.

well, “£80 Micra” is its, name, it just took and additional £144 to make it a running car, so,

I'm not guna lie it's one of the worst cars I've ever driven. But he couldn't afford anything better and bad car is better than no car.

I'm on an ancient browser at the moment. Work blocked the kinjaverse, doing a little backdoor exploration.

I’m trying to sell him on some metallic gold racing stripes too but haven’t made much progress as of yet.

Tell him that some bloke on the interweb thinks that’d be dope

A Micra is still eons better than whatever we can get here for cheap. For example:
Look at this heap. Doesn’t run, no paint, no bill of title, rebuilt title when it existed, missing a million parts, probably worth $200 in scrap metal.
He wants $1200 for it. £80 is the bargain of the century to us, even if it was really £224, all said and done. Still, you really should have gotten Clarkson’s £1 Volvo :)

That may be the final push he needs to actually do it!

Haha you can’t get deals like the £1 Volvo anymore. That was common when scrap prices bottomed out a while ago, but scrap is worth a few quid these days.
Used car prices are excellent here though. My car was £11’000 new, I bought it 4 and a half years later with 34k on it for a bit over £3’000.
