Bermaz (Malaysia official Mazda importer) decided to sell Miatas here only with an automatic transmission. I don’t know why they made such a bull decision like that. Even the toyobaru twins are offered with a manual transmission.

Helicopter dump hundreds of six speed transmissions on their headquarters unexpectedly. Then they’ll get the message!

And be too dead to argue when you alter their paperwork.

Probably but they still people who defend Bermaz with it’s decision. They thought that manual are such a hassle and I probably wouldn’t afford it. smh

These popular in Malaysia?
Seems not, that’s probably why they’re auto only.

Probably not. The Miata are popular within us car enthusiasts in Malaysia. other might not be. My best guess that and older gentlemen or some rich housewife would probably their target audience hence it’s auto only option.
