I say it is because it benefits both the enclave and the maxima next to it without negatively impacting anyone else.

Yeah, the lines are white so it isn’t really a problem. I park on lines at the end of rows often, just to make things a bit easier for everyone.

The parking may be technically satisfactory. But their eyesight and spatial awareness may not be.

Yeah it's not like that's a handicapped ramp spot. Those should never be parked in..

Yeah I do this all the time

I will allow it. However, driving an Enclave in the first place is a 15-yard personal foul.

I hear they are reasonably nice. Very comfortable and have deep discounts.

Yes and no.
In one way - as you touched on - with the enclave being as big and bloated as it is, the driver may have consciously and courteously parked that way. Alternately it could have been an accidental happenstance, but potentially beneficial.
However, actually parking that far outside the allotted space could be problematic for others, as looking at the striping it’s at the end of a lane and others could possibly use the striped area for short maneuvers to get their vehicles into and out of spaces, which is now partially blocked by the Buick.
I think had the Buick driver parked like the Lexus RX350 driver behind it, that is, on the edge of the line but not over it, it would have accomplished the goal of not being too close to another car without taking up potentially useful space elsewhere. However, the Lexus driver should have parked their vehicle in the center of their space, because now the space behind the Buick is partially compromised. Unless there was a vehicle on the right of the Lexus that forced it to park that way.

I’m just not a fan of the whole crossover thing.

Thank you for your in depth analysis!

Not ok, stay within the lines. With the handicap spaces behind this is front row parking. The lines to the right at mention to keep people away from your car while going around to the next aisle, not for them to block the lane, making motorist make a wider turn radius.
Box rocket said it better than I did, but I will add the end of the lot if it is spacious is a free for all.

Off course! Mark that down as a DNF.

Well, unless you’re handicapped. And have the placard.

I say unacceptable because that parking spot leaves more than adequate space on each side. Look how much space the car beside the Buick has in its own space, it didn’t need anymore room.

On a scale of 1 to 10, being 10 the perfect parking, and 1 being a CORVETTE douchenozzle parking in TWO HANDICAP PARKING SPOTS SIDEWAYS, this one is a 5. So yes, it will fly without reprimand, but the distance judgment is lacking.
Now here is the 1 parking...
Disturbing to find this picture when you search “BMW parked handicap sideways”. 3rd picture.
Also a Ferrari on the 4th ( this one scores a 3). It IS a handicap spot, and it can no longer be used, unless you have a handicap motorcycle with training wheels or something.

The real crime here is keeping an unnecessary front plate mount.

I park like this every day so I don’t get door dinged. My parking lot is also on a hill so peoples doors will fly open sometimes and I just want to avoid the dings.

Nope, unacceptable under any and all circumstances... ;)

Everyone seems to forget that those lines are also there to allow people to see around the parked cars. Encroaching on those lines blocks the line of sight at the end of the lane. It’s like people who allow bushes/trees along the front of their property to grow out of control. If you want to cross the intersection, you have to pull into the intersection just to see around the bushes and verify it is safe.
