Oh my.... it’s cheap.... Fuck the auto trans, but it would be fairly good money to flip it here in Japan...
Wished it had been in Cali rather than Chicago but it’s really almost tempting...

I’m going for a road rally style on my Corvair. I’m going to get some words painted down the side soon. Based on a suggestion from someone on here it will read “Awesone at any speed”. Mine has the manual transmission in it. I also got it for like $1,500. $8,500 is a lot for a Corvair.

That's actually quite a bit for a Corvair. I got mine for $1,500. If it's in Chitown it most assuredly has rust or a lot of body filler.

It definitely looks good, but you can find them in just as good a shape for about $2k less. Corvairs are the cheapest classic car you can buy, as they were built pretty shoddily, and a lot of their components aren’t serviceable and are proprietary to the car which makes certain parts/services expensive for what it is (a 90 hp air cooled GM). A lot of people put them up for stupid money, until they relaize no one is going to buy them, then they get realistic. Mine had an original for sale price of $4,500, and I ended up getting it for an old E30 coupe which I paid $1,200 for and put maybe $700 into, and the guy gave me $500 on top of the deal. No one would have paid anywhere near his asking price for it. Here’s a pretty good one for about $2k less than that Ebay deal. I’m sure you could walk away with this one for $5k.

Yeah I see others for cheap. But I have three cars and no more room haha. Maybe some day. I have an old Mercedes too.
