Truck ran fine last week after putting it back together. Went to take it for a shakedown ride this morning and no-start. After replacing the spark plugs and still no start, I figured out that I wasn’t getting any spark. Pulled apart the HEI distributor, pulled the coil to test it and this is what I found.
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
No need for testing. I had no idea these coils could fail like this. Installed a new coil and the truck fired right up, good as new.
