40,000 original miles. Never restored, second set of tires, last year before rubber bumpers were mandatory.
Had some pretty awesome patina, the leather was nice and worn with some minor cracks, the chrome was all flawless.

Yesterday at the gas station I pulled up next to a 1954 Buick Special convertible. Looked like this, only not a Skylark:

A lot of people aren’t fans of the 2+2, but I am. 4.2 2+2 is where it’s at, IMO.

The 2+2 has grown on me...not the S3, but an earlier one, like a S1.5. This one appears to be a S1 FHC though, maybe still a 4.2.

The way they wrap the bumpers rightup to the wheel arches is one of my favorite things. Jags from that era look good at nearly every angle, moving or sitting still (insert easy joke here). It’s great that this one is still living the good life instead of being cooped up in a show-garage, never driven, constantly rubbed with diapers by some creepy rich dude, then later launched backwards out of the same garage into the trees 50 feet below by his whiny son... Yes, that did escalate quickly.
