Curious to get OPPO’s opinion on navigation apps. What do people use/like? I used to use the default google maps exclusively, but my friend recently showed me something called Waze. I like the idea of marking road hazards, police traps, etc... especially since I just like keeping the app up to check traffic and whatnot. It also seems to update faster than google. Plus, there are points, and I love dem ‘chievements. But, I imagine there are others I’ve not really heard of, hence my question.

Waze user here. There are solid ties between Waze and Google. The Waze maps are being updated by volunteer editors (I’m one) and many of the updates are based on user-suggested corrections. The real-time hazards, police, and traffic tracking are pretty good because they are based on real-time user reports. If the app detects you are driving 20 mph on the freeway, it will ask you if you are stuck in traffic and report your response.
Of the multitude of routes available to me, Waze has directed me down many of them based on traffic flows and reports. I’ve only had a couple of issues on long trips, but that may be because I was going to the middle of nowhere and lost cell connectivity. A reset of the app and all was well.

Nokia HERE is pretty damn good. Being able to operate offline is also great if you don’t want to eat data on the move.
