Remember how I joked about how Ford’s idea of a long delay was hilarious compared to trying to get anything out of Italy?
Turns out Ford got that memo, so now the A/C compressor is delayed until September. If that date holds, I will have been without my car for 2 months because of a part that, judging by the fact that it’s on nationwide backorder, fails quite frequently.
Half tempted to just sell it as is and skip the hassle and expense of transporting it the 2000 miles out here. I could take a big hit for the inconvenience factor and still be under the cost of hiring a transporter or trailering it out here.

It was commonly said in the 80s here in the UK when despite being poor in terms of reliability they sold tremendously well here. Nothing wrong with Ford’s of the past 20 years, I’m just not a ford guy.
