Sitting at the Ford dealer, waiting for the Fusion to have recall work done. The people in the waiting room are taking about turtle and frog meat...
Wish I could get out of here and test drive something, but nope probably too young and too scared to ask.
Entertain me, Oppo.

go ask. as long as you have a licence most places will let you. Unless you try and drive something high performance. Go to the used lot too

Never had turtle, but frog taste a lot like chicken.

I’m interested in the frog and turtle meat. I’ve had frog and alligator but not turtle and I wonder what it is like.
We had a lady leave our department and she was a big turtle fan so I briefly entertained making turtle soup for her. It probably would have made her mad at me but that was the point.

Apparently turtle does too according to the lady who's had it.

I would ask, but check if they will run a check on your credit history. If they do, your credit score will drop.

Frog is great, I’ve only tried it in french restaurants though. Turtle soup is ok.

From my experience, driver’s license+parents present=you can test drive whatever you want. I test drove a 2015 Mustang GT, and the salesman said the last test drive he went on in a new GT was with a 17 y/o.

I know the didn’t when my parents test drove the Fusion. Plus, I don't have a credit score because 17 and no credit card.

Having seen the process of getting meat from a turtle, that seems like way more trouble than it’s worth. I’ll stick with gator and frog.

Parents aren't here so. I might go and ask, I have no idea how long this service is gonna take since all they're checking is bolts.

Never had anything of the sort.

The only thing I'd want to drive would be an EcoBoost F150. 17 year old being handed the keys to a $50k truck sounds unlikely

That doesn’t mean you don’t have one it just means your score is 0

So it might as well be non-existent

That might make a difference. I can’t say, I’ve only ever looked at cars solo once and it was a used X-Type.

Smells like fish, tastes like chicken

You’re the prime age for this advice, make sure when next year rolls around you try to open up a secure card through your bank/credit union. It’s a credit card that you put money on and is usually limited to like $250 it’s a great way to build your credit early so by the time you are in your 20’s you’ve got a great credit score.
This is important for loans including cars, home mortgage, and even some jobs will run a credit report (financial jobs).

Kind of like gator.

That’s fucked up!

Could be worse.. last time at the volvo dealer some old lady put on soap operas on the tv at very loud volume...
and depends on the dealer. Most have insurance that will only cover 18+ year olds...

Is there any way to cook gator that’s not deep frying it? Both times I’ve tried it turned out really tough and hard to chew.

Frog legs really do taste like chicken but they’re a lot more rubbery. The texture alone threw me off.

Turtle meat is harder to come by than I expected it to be.

Did you really expect anything less from a Volvo dealer patron?

I’ve had gator jerky. I had some gator bites the other day, on a sandwich, and it was super tender.

I’ve had turtle jelly before, which is powdered turtle shell mixed with herbs, with milk and syrup. It tastes fantastic.

I've test-driven the 3.5 and 2.7. Nothing terribly exciting honestly.

Not to be a downer, but I drive Ecoboost F150s all day at the Ford dealership where I work, and they’re pretty lame. The 5.0 is WAY better.

Had it years ago, it’s that same sort of chicken/fish hybrid meat you get from frogs. The stuff I had tasted great.
