That’s pretty awesome picture. I wonder if those guys had no idea that more than 40 years will pass before serious plans for revisit are even considered.

I would be happy to pay more taxes if they would be used in space exploration instead of some stupid crap. Sadly we aren’t the next ones visiting the Moon. My country’s current space program is pretty much the small satellite in this picture. One of my friends (also in the picture) participated building this.

It was probably very disappointing as missions 18 and 19 were planned but cancelled. It seems that at some point even missions 16 and 17 were cancelled but some brave guy managed to persuade the President to give a bit more funding.

Point is no persuasion should be necessary, fund the fucking programs. The other day an Opponaut posted this http://oppositelock.kinja.com/wtf-has-nasa-d… showing just how little funding NASA gets compared to what else the Government wastes money on.
