What kind of car is this that I saw in a parking lot the other day? Knowing you guys, I expect this will take about one minute.
OK, it’s been two hours and nobody got it right, so here’s the answer:
It’s a Lloyd!
I’m pretty sure the exact model is the Lloyd Alexander TS Combi, which had an air-cooled 600cc two-cylinder that pumped out a rockin’ 19HP.
As well as this attractive “Combi,” they also made a sedan and an adorable coupe, looking like something drawn by Robert Crumb, as shown in this ad which I have borrowed from !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! :
What a rarity! I can tell you for sure, I’ve never seen one of these on the street in the U.S.A. before. Here’s a video of a beautifully restored one:

You should see it in person! I wanted to climb in and work the steering wheel and that column shifter like when I was a little kid.
