Keeled over and groaning in pain at 4AM, unable to sleep because he ate some weird shit and now has indigestion and trapped wind.

Pray tell, what counts as “Weird Shit” in Hong Kong?
frankly, most of that looks delicious to me, except for the chicken feet... i could never get behind the “Phoenix Claw”

Carbonated beverage of your choice
Gas X if you have it
Lie on your left side (puts the GI tract in the optimal position for passing gas)

Chicken pasta with green pesto cream sauce at the Royal Yacht Club. Apparently, the pasta there is an absolute no-go, which I found out far too late.
And trust me, I’ve had weirder without the awful side effects I’m having right now.

If you’re not, er, running to the bathroom all the time, go for a brisk walk/jog/jump up and down. Exercise can really help with trapped wind. And if it doesn’t, at least you got some exercise to work off all that pasta.

I have this kind of reaction when I eat something that contains fresh garlic, but not garlic powder. Also, “trapped wind” is a fantastic euphemism.

Look, I know you WERE British, but that was almost 20 years ago. Your stomach should have adapted to real food by now.

That sucks. I hate when seemingly normal food make you sick. Like, I can’t have duck. I have a iron gut, I love indian and middle eastern food, and all kinds of weird stuff and do it like a champ. But duck makes me want to die. Which is sad because I love it.
I hope you feel better soon.

Stop eating weird shit.
You should be eating normal shit instead

They say gas x relieves bloating, but it just makes you fart.

I suppose it depends on the bloating. If it’s water-bloat, then no, it’s not going to work.
The active ingredient is simethicone, which lowers the surface tension of gas bubbles, allowing them to more easily combine with other bubbles and thus be passed easier.
