Also NYC experts. We are making a trip to NYC from the northern woods of Maine August 16-18. We’ve been there done that with all the touristy stuff and looking for fun things to do. Our favorite part of NYC is central park. Looking for good food and good times that are family friendly.

I’ll probably post again closer to date.

If you like Italian subs (and lets be honest, if you don’t you’re a gosh-darned commie), stop by Manganaro’s Heroboy between 37th and 38th on 9th Avenue. I suggest the veal parmesan, but anything hot is good. I’ve never tried the cold cuts, so I can’t comment on them. Sandwiches are huge and reasonably priced for how much you get.

Becco’s(uptown)

Anything around the Lower East Side is good to eat.

If you have a free late night, go to the Nyuorican Poets Cafe.
