1. Grab one of these.
A crude powerful sports (super?) car with no concessions to luxury, convenience, comfort or safety. Just like the C2. - $25,700
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
2. Sell the V10. + $4,100.
3. Drop in a Chevy crate motor. You can keep it budget-friendly and drop in a $5,000 327 , or go insane and drop in an LSX454R. The 454 is nearly $25,000, which is just shy of a real C2, once added to the Viper’s price. The ZZ502 is a good balance of power and price. - $9,333

4. Enjoy your ‘Vette!

Only 4 grand for a v10? Most of the complete v10s I’ve seen on ebay go for around 9k

You might have seen the newer ones. I saw two ‘94 V10s for $4,099 exactly. I would send you the link, but I can’t find it again. But I hope you're right though.

Why would you want a V8 Viper?
Thats like a V6 Corvette, or a VTwin Porsche 911...

At that price I’ll just buy the viper and enjoy.

Seriously. A Chevy V8 at that. If you’re gonna do it, at least use a Hellcat motor.

Motor is too tall and won't fit between the shock towers.

brb going to rebuild an entire 63 split window

so.....25-5+10=30 for the drivetrain. you think for 10k you can buy the c2 body doors lights mounts windows etc.? this is surely a joke of a post and its way easier to just buy a c2 for 40 which will always be an appreciating asset unlike this franken beast

Two things.
1) C3 and C2 frames are almost identical. You can bolt all of these C2 body panels into a C3 easily. So, you can get your fire-burned 1982 peak-malaise C3, gut it, put C2 body kit and “junkyard” LS1 on it and it’s still a Corvette.
2) Others have been known to take these body panels and bolt them onto G-bodies. So imagine a faux-midyear going down the street but with a buick big block.

Yeah this was in no way shape or form, intended to be serious.

The engine suffered a fire so it was sold without one but it is still getting rebuilt with a LSx http://www.engineswapdepot.com/?p=4179
