I actually bought this back in high school, but never actually opened it until yesterday. (That’s an 8-year timespan, folks)

I’ve never put a model together, and this was a pretty crappy one to start with. It’s a brand called mpc, and it just seems cheap. Fitment is pretty awful, and the plastic is quite cheap. Nothing is glued or painted yet, but I put just enough together just to see how it looks. It’s not bad. I’ve got all the parts labeled and bagged, and I’ll probably glue and paint later this week. Doesn’t seem too difficult so far, except for too many small, easily lost pieces.

AMT and Revell/Monogram typically have better quality kits. I just added you to 1:25 to life, by the way. I don’t want that to be a vanity/build thread for my couple scale model projects.

Thanks! I appreciate that. I also have a Revell 4th-gen Camaro I bought at the same time as this one that I haven’t started yet. I will hope that it is indeed better.
