It looked like it belonged, and considering how popular both the XF and F-Type have proven in my local area, I suspect I’ll be seeing quite a few more of them. No SR20, sadly—I was on the move. To make up for it, here’s the closest the configurator will let me get to my ideal XE, for now at least:
Once they’ve made the manual available with the petrol engines, it’ll be perfect.

Kinda getting sick of the XE advert but I still want one bad. So much so I started looking at the prices for S Type Rs. They are at £4000 now, so who knows in 5 years time.

Why would you want a petrol one, unless you intended a very low mileage and didn’t care about trade in values?

It’s certainly not the logical choice—I just don’t like diesel. Like, at all. I appreciate its utility and practicality, but I have very little interest in actually owning a car that runs on it.
Ideally, the petrol engine in question would be the one from the XE-S, just with a manual. Which they’ll hopefully do at some point, having seen the light with the F-Type.

Jag depreciation is pretty intense, even in the context of our used car market. Here’s hoping the XE keeps it up.
