be the only one who thinks the Evo X looks better wingless

It’s just wearing formal attire for Mitsubishi’s wake in the U.S. :(

Nice lancer

I usually like the cleaner look of cars without wings/spoilers...but an Evo without a wing is no Evo in my book

On many cars a spoiler is just that.

Same for STI’s imo.

Nah, big spoilers look great on lancers. Otherwise they're a bit too generic. This doesn't apply to all cars, notably.

I think that’s why I like it cause it gives it more of a sleeper status.

You’re just mad because where the spoiler and the decklid are bolted together is the one spot no detalier can clean.

I love how handsome a wingless Evo can look, but I need a wing on this.

They’re uncommon enough that they aren’t really sleepers (at least not the current car with its huge intake).

You're not. Evo and STi both look better with no wing. I'm with ya!

Who says? Lol. Though yes they can be annoying to clean.
Ford spoilers being the worst so far.

x2
WRX, sure, but it’s not an STi without the wing.

On the VII, VIII, and IX, sure, but the more upright body of the X looks wrong without it.

See I disagree. I think the older evos need the wing to look good. But I don’t know the Evo X just looks so much more grown up without it. With the wing it just screams boy racer

Yawn

To each their own, but to me it makes it look too much like a base Lancer, and not in the under the radar sleeper effect kind of way.

I think that is true with the new WRX as well

Totally agree. A car pretty much has to be a coupe with a certain price tag and level of performance that both justifies the wing and also says “I’m not a ricer, this is an aerodynamic necessity for the high speeds my ____ can go” (insert porsche, lambo, track car here) before I’m ok with a wing. Basically, its only ok on a road car that its very lowest trim level is still a high performance car: porsche 99/GT3 is probably the entry level of acceptable new cars that I can think of.

Agreed. The Impreza and Lancer look naked without spoilers. In contrast, the current Mazda 3 and 6 look weird WITH spoilers.

Well the winged model does get one extra MPG on the highway.
