If I am not wrong (I am not) they made them from 1964 to 1969. Thats five years. Then add the three years in which Ford made the GT (2004-2006) and we have eight years of supercar production as of now. The rest of those 51 years consisted of boring cars, crap cars and Fiestas. Ford did prove they are capable of making a Supercar a loooooooooong time ago, but that doesn’t mean they’ve been making supercars ever since. I don’t count 43 years of not making a supercar as making a supercar . Thats like saying Mercedes has been dominating F1 for a looooooooong time. They did in 1954 and 1955, and then in 2014 and 2015, but in the years between they were either middle of the pack or not present at all.

I don’t know. The new GT is legitimately not very ford-like. I believe that more than someone sitting in a Malibu and saying “IT JUST LIKE ESPENSIVE LEXUS”
