I need some Oppo knowledge. Are there any modern cars with front, mid-engine, front wheel drive? I cannot think of any. The only car I can think of like this is the Cord 810 and 812.

The Cord even has the raidator behind the front axle. I was thinking a lightweight FMF car would make a fun efficient little car. The configuration should be good for everything except off the line acceleration. The centered mass comparted to a regular FWD should improve turn and braking.

Vintage Alfa Romeo 8C engine for your time:

The Citroen Traction Avant had a FMF setup as well. Some of the Saabs might technically be FMF as well.

Pretty much every front wheel drive Renault made before the 1980s. The last Renault 4 was made in the early 1990s, and I think that was the last car using this layout.

Would the dodge intrepid fit under this definition?

I just double checked all the Saabs. Maybe the 2010-2011 9-5 4 cylinder engine. It looks to be over top of the front axle and slightly behind it.

Tracta (made before the Cord), most 1930s FWD vehicles, DS, SM, Renault 3, 4, 5, 6, 16 and Rodeo, maybe the Honda Legend.

“Are there any modern cars with front, mid-engine, front wheel drive?”

No, because that’s just silly.

The Maserati Quattroporte II and the Citroen SM seem to be the most modern FMF cars while the Renault 4 was the last produced.
